Through our little store, we’ve been lucky to meet so many wonderfully talented creatives and makers. As many of you know, we love showcasing a rotating collection of artwork and handmade treasures — each one a spark of inspiration.
Now, we invite you to an enchanting afternoon of creativity and connection on Sunday, 27th July.
This whimsical workshop is for kindred spirits — time-poor dreamers, curious creators, and anyone craving a creative escape. Whether you're a seasoned maker or just starting out, this is your chance to learn something new, meet like-minded souls, and let your imagination run free.
With the warm guidance of local artist, art teacher, and graphic designer Lauren Halberstadt, you’ll learn how to create your very own pièce de résistance inspired by “Whimsical Wilma” using watercolours and pigment inks — no pressure, just play.
A little about Lauren…
"Hi I'm Lauren.
Champion of the creative free-spirit.
As an Art Teacher & Graphic Designer, I know how challenging life can be when your creativity is low. Over the years, teaching my students new skills has been one thing, but witnessing their free spirits flourish and make an immense difference to their self-expression, has been gold!
There's never any ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way of creating in my art room, only ever that of the individual student.
Spontaneity and eagerness to try new avenues are the order of the day.
This playful rhetoric makes everyone feel relaxed and uninhibited, and the artwork that emerges as a result is awe-inspiring.
In my workshops, you'll be surprised and delighted by your creative spirit and my intuitive, playful approach to art-making, where the focus is on progress rather than perfection.
You'll get to let your inner child loose and build your self-confidence, with the simple doodle and watercolour pencil activities, and have heaps of fun and giggles along the way!

This is a safe, welcoming space for all. However, sessions are best suited to the mature-minded, and we recommend attendees be 10 years or older.
